Josue, Darwin, and Abraham…The 5000th (and 5001st and 5002nd) child adopted with the help of a Gift of Adoption grant!
Josue (age 11) is a loving and protective oldest brother who loves soccer and math and dreamed of being adopted with his brothers. Darwin (age 9) is intelligent and loves to read and go to school. Abraham (age 6) is mischievous and likes to play! The boys spent 5 years in an orphanage in their birth country of Ecuador before their recent adoption by Nicole and David of Wisconsin.
Nicole and David spent two long, difficult years trying to bring their sons home. A grant from Gift of Adoption was a final piece that enabled them to unite with the boys in early 2023.
Though 5,000 lives have been forever changed through the love, stability and protection of family, we know that more children wait. Gift of Adoption is receiving more applications that ever from families who have room in their hearts and homes for children in vulnerable circumstances, but who lack the final funds to complete adoptions. Gift of Adoption is currently saying ‘yes’ to just 2/3 of qualified applicants.
